The Interlachen Country Club raised patio project is now complete! What a fun project to be part of. Glacial Ridge did a phenomenal job installing the Porcelain Tile. This wasn’t your typical backyard patio. They had to custom cut approximately 1200 square feet of porcelain tile, including the curved steps to the lower level.
We were brought into this project after the design had been completed, but the patio surface material hadn’t been selected yet. Peter McLoughlin (Twisted Elements) worked closely with Glacial Ridge to choose the best porcelain tile for the project. They decided on the Quarziti 2.0 Random Pattern in the color Waterfall from the Mirage Porcelain tile collection. It’s a nice light porcelain that won’t radiate heat on those summer days.
When Peter arrived on the job the concrete deck had already been poured before winter hit in 2018. So, when spring arrived they were ready to install the waterproofing membrane.
Next step is to determine the random pattern and how to assemble the pedestals.
The tricky part is when you get to the rail edge and to insure proper drainage.
This installation took about 2 months to complete from start to finish and it looks fantastic! It’s very modern and the designer that chose the finishing touches with the furniture and planters fit the space great! Now we just have to become members to enjoy this patio!
Here is the final product.
